| A big thank you must go out to Des Dunn.
Des has provided a very complete Hambrook Family Tree
which is now online. If you would like to view the extended Hambrook Family Tree
click on the Family Tree button on the menu.
This feature along with the message board certainly show that we are one
if not the leading family history society on the internet providing a
place to express our interest of our family name as well as sharing the
current knowledge we have or it. ENJOY! |

| Happy New Year to you all! As it is a
new year I have rolled over the 'What's New' to the
Historic News page below. |
| Again, due to cost and issues beyond my
control I have been forced to moved the website. You will notice that it should be
faster and more reliable in the coming years. Note
that as of this moment the web address is ONLY http://www.hambrook.org. |
| I would also like to again let you all
know that we have an exciting new Message
Board online. Please take the time to use it as our site is only as
good as what we all make it. I am not a true Genealogists, so I do require
help when it comes to the content that is posted on our site this also
including the Family Tree. |

our website. I have received a number of emails from other Family
Societies wondering how they can get a web site with all the features of
the Hambrook Family History Societies, unfortunately this is a work of
love and not just thrown together. I have been told many time that we have
the most comprehensive Family History Website out. So thank you to you all
for your contributions. |

| Yet another improvement to our website!
As some of you may know I added a search engine to the Website about 3
months ago. It was hosted by another company and left with a limitation of
only 2000 web pages. With the Hambrook Family Tree expanding everyday we
have now past 2000 web pages for our site. I have now installed our own
more powerful and user friendly search engine. Just type your query above
and click SEARCH! |

| NEW
MESSAGE BOARD!
I have installed a new Message Board. This time it is running on my sever
here, thus we don't rely on anyone to provide functionality for our site,
everything is produced and hosted by us. I hope you like it, it is rather
flashy and i hope its not too hard to use, in the coming weeks I will try
add "How To's" to it and thus making it easy. Also please note that it is
based on a logon system and you will need to create an account first
before you will be able to post any messages. If you require help email me

| An apology must go out to you all, I
have been working the Message Board problem for some time and haven't
found a suitable replacement, the last message board was hosted by a
company who has gone bankrupt. I am hoping to have a new one online in the
not to distant future. |

| The '1st Sydney Hambrook Family Get
Together' went off with out a hitch. Host Michael Hambrook will publish a
small article for the next Hambrook Herald. This is just the 1st of what
is planned to be an annual event with others around the world encouraged
to get together. |

| A new line of Hambrook's has been added to the
Family Tree this was courtesy of Christine
Plenty. To look at this goto the Family Tree and then search for Richard
Hambrook born 21st Feb 1836. There is also a link to Canada with his
daughter Hennrietta Amy who moved there after her marriage. |

| Today the Hambrook Herald takes a new
look. I hope you all like it and I welcome any comments or suggestions to
make our site easier to use and more fulfilling. |
| I have now put up 2 displays of the
Family Tree. A Java based one and a simple
HTML based one. Both of these displays are showing the same Family Tree
Database. |
